Last week, the hearing for House Bill 632 was held at the State Capital. Surprisingly, most people had the same opinion.
Those were the words of newly-elected Camden County Assessor Marty McGuire. Those were echoed by a number of people and, when questioned by one of the representatives as to what they were afraid may change, a number of them mentioned talk about the idea of a pro-rated tax bracket for nightly rentals may be imposed. Many of them agreed that, if the bill were to be amended to include that, they would no longer be able to support it.
