Members of the Maries and Osage County Sheriff’s departments are conducting dive trainings this week.
Officials say the exercise helps divers to practice navigating the deep waters during a water rescue in area lakes and rivers.
The divers are going into deep portions of the water, searching for submerged items as part of the training.
So far, deputies have recovered a lawn mower and a small boat engine.
