A Maries county man is behind held on no bond, after assaulting a deputy while being both high and naked.
The Sheriff’s office says it happened early Tuesday morning near Belle after they received a call about a man who had punched two people, and was attempting to steal their guns.
Officials say when the deputy arrived on the scene, 34-year-old Daniel Stephens began to attack him in his car.
Stephens then ran off into the woods, but the deputy eventually captured him and was able to take him into custody.
The Deputy did sustained injuries to his face and gear.
Stephens had previously been released on Bond for a prior felony offense, which has since been revoked due to the new charges.
