A plan to conduct a thorough evaluation of the Osage Beach Police Department has been approved by the Board of Aldermen after four tries. Mayor John Olivarri cast the tie-breaking vote in a 4-3 decision.
The evaluation will examine procedures, policy, best practices, the culture within the department, and more. It will be conducted by the Center for Public Safety Management at a cost of just over $47,000.
A contract for banking services with the City of Osage Beach will undergo further review after a motion by the Board of Aldermen at Thursday’s meeting. The city has been considering proposals from Central Bank and Providence Bank to determine which one should handle city business. After first reading the board voted to go with Central. The second reading was moved to the next meeting to allow for further review of the two bids. The board approved a $25,000 payment for their media partnership with Tri-County Lodging and a contract for over $156,000 as part of the taxiway reconstruction project at Lee C. Fine Airport. The FAA will reimburse the city for 90% of the expenses. The total project cost will be over $327,000.
