In light of the recent duck boat accident killing 17 people on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Senator Claire McCaskill is pushing for legislation to increase the safety of amphibious vehicles. McCaskill says her bill would put into law safety recommendations made by the NTSB after the 1999 duck boat accident which killed 13 people in Arkansas…
Senator Roy Blunt also issued his own statement saying he will do whatever is necessary to keep any similar accidents from happening in the future. It could take up to a year before the NTSB issues its final report on the Branson duck boat tragedy.
