Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill is joining a bipartisan effort in demanding answers over the State Department’s approval of a visa application allowing an individual with, apparent, al Qaeda training to enter the country. Saudi Arabian national Naif Abdulaziz Alfallaj entered the U.S. after lying on his visa application, attending flight school and receiving a pilot’s license before it was revoked in 2017 by the TSA on the suspicion of Alfallaj posing a risk of terrorism in the air. Alfallaj, allegedly, attended the same al Qaeda camp that four of the terrorists from the 9-11 attacks trained at and that Osama bin Laden frequently visited. A statement issued by McCaskill says that “clearly something went wrong” in the process of Alfallaj being allowed into the country.
