If you have a hunting or fishing license through the State of Missouri, you may have received an email this week from the Department of Conservation asking for your help. The MDC and Department of Natural Resources are asking those people who frequently spend time in the outdoors to help recover orphaned storage containers that were swept away by floodwaters earlier this year. That includes pressurized cylinders and tanks, propane and ammonia tanks, high-capacity above-ground storage tanks, consumer size tanks, steel or plastic drums and barrels, and agricultural transport and storage containers. If you spot one of these containers, don’t try to recover it yourself. Instead, report the location by calling 573-634-2436 or report it online at the DNR website.
