While no new evidence has been found in the case of child remains found in Dixon late last year, there has been some developments that Sheriff Ron Long of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department says is a good start. Earlier this month members from the FBI joined in the forensic side of investigating the case attempting to find out who the child was and why he was left there. Back in 2013, a hunter was searching the area for Deer when he came across the child remains. Since then police have been attempting to match the case with missing children in the area and have yet to find any information. According to Long, the media coverage on this situation however has opened the door for several new leads from area residents, to which his department is pursing. A special K9 unit was recently brought in from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to continue to help in the search for more information.
