A new report shows Missouri is out in front, leading the nation in the number of people dropped from the rolls of its Medicaid program. New figures released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services show the state’s Medicaid enrollment dropped by over 37 thousand people in June, compared with its average enrollment from July thru September of last year. Missouri is one of only four states that reported enrollment declines during that period, which coincided with the launch of new online insurance marketplaces as required under the federal health care law.
