Medical emergency calls poured into the Gravois Fire Protection District last week. They report having eight medical emergencies calls, as well as two calls for person in distress and one for a cover fire. Luckily, when they responded to the cover fire on Saturday, it was a land owner conducting a controlled burn and he was able to get it back under control before the department arrived on scene. To go with the busy schedule consisting of twelve calls, they also visited the Laurie Care Center on Thursday morning to conduct fire extinguisher training for the staff.
