Earlier this week, a petition to legalize medical marijuana in Missouri was shot down by the state after around 10,700 signatures were considered invalid, leaving the petition close to 2,200 signatures shy of enough to be put on the November ballot. Lake Area Representative Rocky Miller, who says he would support a highly controlled medicinal marijuana initiative, says he was fairly glad the initiative would shot down.
Representative Miller also says he believes things are being put into the Missouri Constitution too easily because Representatives won’t pass them. New Approach Missouri, the group that initiated the petition, says they will appeal the decision in hopes that the court will overturn invalidated signatures.
