The group behind a petition to get medical marijuana on the ballot says the measure would provide big benefits for veterans. Jack Cardetti with New Approach Missouri says those who attain the cards would pay a 4% retail tax. That’s one of two ways that veterans would benefit.
The measure would also benefit programs and patients all across the state.
Right now the petition has 100,000 signatures. They need 165,000 by May 5 to get the issue on the ballot next November.
