A strong contingency of business owners is expected to file into the Lake West Chamber of Commerce office Wednesday afternoon for an informational meeting to go over new rules being handed down by the U.S. Department of Labor. Those rules, according to Lake West Chamber Director Paul Hooper, will affect small and large businesses who hire salaried employees making under $48-thousand per year.
The new labor rules are expected to go in effect on the 1st of December. The two-hour informational meeting begins at 2-oclock Wednesday at the Lake West Chamber office. The meeting is open to any and all businesses.
