Over the past week the Gravois board of Trustee’s met for discussion on upcoming elections. Gravois Board of Trustee Chairman Brad Vold and Treasurer John Brooks terms are expiring. Both Vold and Brooks plan to run for re-election.
The deadline to file to run for a municipal office is 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18. No one has filed to run against the two incumbents as yet. The municipal elections will be held Tuesday, April 5. Gravois Mills trustees Robert Swengrosh, Mary Shipley and Jack Feller’s terms expire in 2012.
The next meeting of the Gravois Board of Trustees is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Gravois Mills City Hall located at the Waters Edge Motel on Highway 5.

The Gravois Arm Sewer District Board has scheduled a special meeting today at 4 p.m at the district office. The purpose of the special meeting is to adopt a resolution raising district sewer rates three percent. District expenses have risen, and according to financial reports, the district has been under budget throughout 2010.
