A Mexico, Missouri man accused of assault after an arrest by the Versailles Police has entered a guilty plea. Dyllon Nichols was scheduled for an arraignment Monday on a charge of first-degree assault involving serious physical injury or a special victim. He waived that arraignment and entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of second-degree assault. Nichols was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections with preference for 120 days shock time.
