The Mid-County Fire Protection District finished the year with a slightly lower call load than in 2017. Following 129 incidents in December, the department finished 2018 with a total of 2,021 runs. That’s down from 2,101 in 2017. They faced a wide range of activity last month. Their call load included three structure fires, two natural cover fires, two vehicle fires, and a transformer fire. They also responded to nine vehicle accidents and two gas spills during the month.
