Mid-County Firefighters stayed busy this weekend, responding to a call that they’re estimating burnt around 1,000 acres. The call came in early Saturday evening to the property near Spencer Creek and New Moon Road. Chief Scott Frandsen says they believe it was intentional.
Chief Frandsen says, while dealing with that fire, they also responded to two other calls, one burning around 7 acres on Route D, near Bear Ridge Road, and the other between 10 to 15 acres on Snelling Road. Chief Frandsen says they tended to the first fire until after 2 a.m Sunday morning. Luckily, at all three fires, no structures were damaged.
