A Camden County home suffered significant damage after a fire Sunday night. Mid-County Fire District responded to the home on Christopher Drive in the Seven Trails Subdivision around 9:30 that night and, upon arrival, the two-story home showed heavy smoke coming from the front. After finding the source of the fire in the basement, crews were able to bring it under control quickly. An investigation showed that an electrical short caused the fire. Everyone inside was able to escape safely, so no injuries were reported. The home suffered significant heat damage along the lower level, as well as smoke damage throughout its entirety. Assisting at the scene was Osage Beach Fire, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, and the Camden Ambulance District.
