A recent Supreme Court rule making it easier, and sometimes cheaper, for people accused of breaking the law to get out of jail continues to be a problem for law enforcement. KRMS had a chance to discuss it with Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire on “The Ozarks Today.”
Gregoire goes on to say the new rules are proving to be very labor intensive, not just for his department but, for law enforcement in general…
Just recently, especially in Camden County, the court has started filing new cases, many of them with a bail bond attached, charging defendants with failure to appear. Those cases are in addition to original charges that were previously filed.
