The Miller County Sheriff’s office has been busier than normal since school started. Not necessarily with call volumes, but with community outreach. They’ve been reaching into schools with their D.A.R.E. program, which Sheriff Louie Gregoire says is not just about drugs and alcohol anymore.
The agency is also planning on applying for a vest for their K-9 unit, similar to the one Morgan County recently received. Gregoire says their K-9 unit is a multi-tasker.
Gregoire was a guest on “The Ozarks Today” on News/Talk KRMS.
