The final public meeting for the Miller County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2013 is scheduled for this afternoon. The meeting, sponsored by the Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments, will focus on the final review of all goals, objectives and action items proposed for the updated plan, aimed at reducing or eliminating the long-term risk to human life and property from natural hazards. The comprehensive plan includes numerous mitigation action items that can be implemented to reduce the long-term risk within Miller County. The public workshop will take place at 2:00 p.m., at the Miller County Courthouse in Tuscumbia.
