Miller County Woman Won’t Face Death Penalty

Christina White won’t be eligible for the death penalty. A Senior judge assigned to review the case, says school records and testing indicate White’s meets the definition of mentally retarded and as such is only eligible for a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. She was charged in the 2007 death of her baby who died after being burned in its’ crib. White told police at the time she was stressed out and wanted her baby to die. Her trial’s been moved from Miller to Laclede County.
