It’s here, the first ever Beef Summit announced by Governor Nixon back at his address at Tan-Tar-A in 2014, is taking place this Monday. According to the itinerary, Nixon is expected to speak starting at 9AM along with a panel of cattlemen that represent both small and large operations in the State of Missouri. Experts from the cattle genetics team of Food and Natural Resources at the University of Missouri, along as well as the corn and soybean commodity groups will meet with the panel in an attempt to identify strategies to promote rural economic development in the Beef Industry. The event is being held at the Reynolds Alumni Center at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
