A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by Missouri’s Attorney General Chris Koster regarding a recent California court ruling that impacts Missouri’s Egg Producers in regards to chicken living conditions. Back in 2008, California enacted a law to regulate the size of the cages that house egg-laying hens have. The law requires producers in other states to comply in order to sell in California. Koster filed the lawsuit back in February arguing the law was unconstitutional. Other states joined in the lawsuit that U.S. District Judge Kimberly Mueller throw out, claiming Missouri did not have the legal standing to challenge the law.
