Missourians who receive Food Stamps through the SNAP program will continue to get their maximum benefits through the month of September.
Health officials say the decision was made after getting approval to extend the benefits from the USDA and the Food and Nutrition Service.
The money is automatically loaded onto your EBT card and there is nothing more that you need to do to receive it.
Officials say the number of households in Missouri on Food Stamps rose by 50% since the start of the COVID 19 Pandemic.
Additional extensions will be announced on a month to month basis.
