Missouri’s infrastructure may not be as bad as we often think it is. According to a recent report prepared by analytics firm 24/7 Wall Street, Missouri’s system is ranked in the middle of the pack at 30th* in the nation. While the 8.6% of bridges labeled as structurally deficient is the 18th highest in the country, only 2.2% of our roads are in poor condition, a stat that ranks as the 6th lowest. We also have the 19th lowest average travel time to work. According to the report, Rhode Island has the worst infrastructure system in the country.
(*In this study, 50th was the best system, while 1st was the worst)
