Missouri is the latest state to report sickness possibly associated with eating salads from McDonald’s. The Department of Health and Senior Services is investigating seven cases of cyclosporiasis sickening people across the state. The parasite is causes watery diarrhea, cramping, bloating, nausea, fatigue, and fever. Symptoms usually show up about a week after exposure and can last several weeks to a month or more. If you’ve eaten a salad at McDonald’s and develop those symptoms, see your doctor immediately.
