An improving outlook on the economy has not helped Missouri residents’ outlook on life. That’s according to Gallup who says the Show-Me-State is the 8th most miserable State in the entire nation. Just half of residents surveyed said they were thriving in 2013. Most said they’re stressed and few claimed to have laughed or smiled within the last day. According to the survey, West Virginia is the most miserable state in the nation while North Dakota is the happiest.
