Ameren Missouri is preparing to help their peers in the power industry as well as their fellow citizens as they send crews east in preparation for Hurricane Dorian. Ameren is dispatching 85 people, including linemen, fleet, logistics, and safety crews to the east coast. There, they’ll be assisting Charlotte-based Duke Energy. The Ameren workers will head first to a staging area in Raleigh and will fan out from there to the areas where they’re most needed. They also provided similar assistance in the wake of Hurricanes Florence, Irma, and Katrina, as well as after Superstorm Sandy.
