Missouri is receiving over $622 thousand dollars in restitution from a multi state settlement against a pharmaceutical company. Attorney General Chris Koster made the announcement Thursday at the State Capital. The settlement originated from two original whistleblower lawsuits against the drug manufacturer Organon. Koster alleges the company underpaid rebates to Missouri’s Medicaid program, offered improper financial incentives to nursing home pharmacy companies, promoted its antidepressants for unapproved uses and misrepresented its drug prices to Missouri’s Medicaid program. Missouri joined other states and the federal government in a $31 million dollar settlement with company.
