Missouri lawmakers would like to change how redistricting is done after questions are raised about the constitutionality.
The Missouri Senate map created by the Judicial Apportion Commission has been revised after several counties had senate district lines across them, a violation of the state constitution in some cases.
Locally nothing has changed from the original map, Morgan and Miller County remain in the 6th Missouri Senate District with Cooper, Moniteau, Cole, Osage, and Maries. Camden County is in the 16th Missouri Senate District with Laclede, Pulaski, and Phelps county.
Lawmakers plan to address the private process in the upcoming session.
