Missouri has set a new record. The new record is in the state’s employment growth for non-farm payroll jobs. The state grew by 9,300 jobs in October, which put them at the new record of 2,838,500 jobs. To go with the record high, the unemployment rate also dropped to 5.1 percent. In the private-industry, trade, transportation, and utilities grew by 2,400 jobs, while health care and social assistance grew by 4,200 jobs. The largest growth within the private-industry last month occurred in administrative, support, and waste management services, which grew by 5,200 jobs.
