The University of Missouri in Columbia is changing their mask policies.

In a release, Mizzou officials say they are now prohibiting masks with exhalation valves as well as face shields for students.

All masks will now be required to have at least two layers of fabric without holes and they must cover both the nose and the mouth.

MU is recommending the disposable surgical masks or cloth masks as the # 1 choice for students to use.

Those who do not follow the policy will not be allowed to participate in University programs or activities, unless they have approved accommodations.
