Good news at Tuesday night’s special meeting of the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen. The city announced that it will see a spike in tourism and revenue for September, in the way it hasn’t before because the MML or Missouri Municipal League has announced it has postponed and moved it conference to the lake. The conference, supposed to be held in June in Branson was cancelled due to the severe weather they had there a few months ago. The conference will take place Sept 16 through 19th at Tan Tar A resort in Osage Beach. Everyone expressed their excitement to have the influx of people and additional revenue. At the meeting yesterday there was not much in the way of financials as the city does not currently have 2011 audited and projections seem to be close the city will know more at the next meeting.
