The Missouri GOP State Committee Executive Committee has instituted some new procedures for the election of delegates and alternates to the Congressional District and State Conventions. The committee met by conference call on Monday to consider the emergency measures amid ongoing coronavirus concerns. Under the new process, county caucuses will not be held. Instead, County Republican Central Committees will meet by phone on April 4th to vote on a slate of delegates and alternates. Missouri Republican Chair Kay Hoflander says, considering the unprecented and rapidly changing situation, the changes to altering the process is the responsible and prudent thing to do. The Congressional District Convention set for May 30th and the State Convention on June 20th are unaffected, at least, for now.
