A bill pending in the Missouri House would allow lake area restaurants to permanently continue selling curbside cocktails.
House Bill 547 was given initial approval on Wednesday and it requires another house vote before it can head to the Senate.
The bill builds off the temporary relaxed liquor rules put into place in 2020 during the COVID 19 shutdowns.
That rule is set to expire at the end of March.
HB 547 would allow restaurants to continue selling takeout cocktails, so long as a customer orders food and the drinks are sold in sealed containers.
