Three state road districts, including the one Pulaski County now belongs to, would disappear, and a road shed in Dixon would close under the Missouri Transportation Departments half billion dollar budget cutting proposal. District Engineer Tom Stehn talked with members of the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce this week to talk about cost cutting. In the last 5 years, MoDOT’s averaged $1.2-billion annually for construction projects, but department officials say less state money means they’ll have less than half that to work with, and the cuts will make up the difference.
