The Missouri Department of Transportation is receiving around $61 million dollars to help with operating expenses for 30 of its rural transit programs

It’s part of the Federal Government’s COVID relief package.

The money will go to organizations like Mid-Missouri’s OATS, which is one of two transportation programs for disabled individuals that services the lake area.

The company recently implemented changes in the wake of the coronavirus, including limiting personal interactions and ending non-essential trips.
