MoDOT is giving away a piece of national history. The Little Niangua River Bridge on Route J in Camden County is being given away. Karen Daniels, Senior Historic Preservation Specialist for MoDOT, says you just have to take care of a few things.
She says they are required by federal law to make it available for reuse because it is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of only four known self-anchored suspension bridges in the country. Anyone interested in taking the bridge has until October 31st of next year to contact MoDOT.
