In a day and age of trying to find ways to cut costs, the Missouri Department of Transportation is trying to find new ways for improving our roadways. One of those ways, according to MoDOT Central District Engineer Bob Lynch, is to recycle the current roadways.
Lynch goes on to say that the concept can also involve cold, or warm, mixes of the recycled materials. At the current time, there is no permanent plan to use recycled materials but the method does seem to be very effective in cutting the costs of maintaining and improving our roadways.
