Missouri’s immediate infrastructure focus is on maintaining the current system, according to a recently-released draft of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. The plan for 2019-2023 includes over 1300 projects, with an average yearly construction budget of $900 million. MoDot says that’s not enough money to address all of the high-priority needs listed in the Citizen’s Guide to Transportation Funding. They say they need an additional $825 million a year to address those needs.
