MODOT Says Everything Is Ready For Upcoming Winter System

MoDOT is ready for winter weather coming soon to the Lake Area, and that means using more than just weather forecasters in figuring out how to handle road conditions.

Speaking with KB on the Ozarks This Morning, Central Engineer Bob Lynch says having crews familiar with the area, and the conditions, is what helps them keep the traffic moving.

Lynch also says keeping roads clear is a job for MoDOT, but not for people who may have a plow on the front of their vehicle.

He says they’ll be using a mixture of Beet Juice, Salt and Sand to help keep the roadways clear.
