There’s going to be a lot of Travel impacts if you’re heading into Maries county next week.
MoDot says they’re replacing a culvert pipe on State Route 133, between county roads 204 and 224. One lane will be closed and flaggers will direct traffic between 6AM and 2:30PM all week long.
Additionally, bridge improvements will also be underway on Route N over Rogers creek near Brinktown.
Officials say the road will be closed while crews replace the 53-year-old bridge deck and girders.
The closure could last up to 3 months.
Culvert Pipe Replacement to Impact Travel on Route 133
MARIES COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing one lane of Missouri Route 133 in Maries County next week in order to improve roadside drainage.
MoDOT will be replacing culvert pipes between County Road 204 and County Road 224 Monday, December 14 through Friday, December 18. One lane will be closed from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Flaggers will be in place to guide motorists through the work area.
Some delays are possible. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. MoDOT says they appreciate the patience of travelers while this work takes place.

Maries County Bridge Rehabilitation to Begin Next Week
MARIES COUNTY – The Route N bridge over Rogers Creek will be receiving needed updates over the next several months and the Missouri Department of Transportation is advising local residents that the road will be closed beginning next week.
This 53-year-old bridge, located east of Brinktown, has reached a state where rehabilitation is necessary.
Beginning on Monday, December 14, crews will begin replacing the bridge’s deck and girders. Route N at the bridge will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place.
Motorists will need find alternate routes while the bridge rehabilitation takes place.
The bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
