MoDot Says Future Plans Inlcude Evaluating Potential Rock Slides

With the recent rock slide along Highway-54 in Osage Beach still fresh in the minds of many, officials from MoDOT are looking ahead to the possibility of more such incidents happening in the future. That’s according to Central District Area Engineer Bob Lynch who says part of planning the next STIP includes taking a look at locations that are favorable to such an incident happening in the future…

The rock slide in Osage Beach, between Case Road and Nichols Road, kept part of the highway closed for the better part of three days. Lynch, who made his comments this week on “The Ozarks This Morning” on KRMS, says there are several potential locations across the district where a rock slide could happen.
