MoDot is revising their Long Range Transportation Plan, and they want input from the public to help them do so. The plan outlines the state’s 25-year vision for transportation. The current plan was adopted in February of 2014 but has to be updated to meet new federal laws and regulations. MoDot has added a new goal to improve reliability and reduce congestion on the state’s transportation system. Other goals previously adopted include investing in projects that spur economic growth and create jobs; keeping travelers safe regardless of the form of transportation they use; providing more transportation choices; and maintaining the existing transportation system. A 30-day comment period on the revisions is currently open and will close May 4th. You can view the plan and weigh in by visiting any district office or by going online to www.modot.org/LRTP/
