MoDot is still in the planning phase for a project expected to include several improvements along 54 between Route KK and Camdenton. The department of transportation’s initial plan called for a series of J-turns to be installed in an effort to create safer intersections along that stretch of the highway. Speaking on The Ozarks This Morning on KRMS, area engineer Bob Lynch says right now they’re examining other suggestions garnered through the public comment process.
That project is expected to be let this fall. Lynch says that still gives them plenty of time to come up with the safest, and most cost-efficient, plan.
