MoDot says they’ll be limiting road construction during the holiday period. They’re anticipating a record number of motorists on the roads traveling for Independence Day. Lane and bridge closures already in place will remain in place during the holiday and over the subsequent weekend. Motorists should plan their trip in advance and check their routes for possible changes as a result of flooding. The American Automobile Association is predicting a record-high 41.4 million Americans will travel by automobile this holiday. Wednesday is expected to be the busiest day of the period. Last year, four people were killed in Missouri and 22 seriously injured during the July 4th holiday.
