A second person has come forward in a July 2019 case of alleged rape on a boat the at the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to a probable cause statement filed in Morgan County, a woman says she boarded a boat operated by 39-year-old Cassandra Wedeking and 41-year-old Carl Mort of Overland Park Kansas after leaving a local bar.

The statement says the woman says she then was invited to do cocaine and have consensual sex with Wedeking in the boat’s bedroom, however the woman claims that she told Mort “No” when he came into the picture. The statement then says Wedeking held her down and forced her to have sex with Mort.

A similar situation was explained in the first victim’s recantation of the series of events just a week before this event. In that case, a subsequent search of the duo’s boat then did turn up cocaine, ecstasy and a skirt left behind by the first victim.

While the couple is out on bond, they are facing numerous felony charges.

In the first case, Mort was being held on $150,000 bond and Wedeking was being held on $100,000 bond. In this most recent case, both were being held on $150,000 bond each.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is calling on anyone who also may have been involved with this couple to please come forward by contacting the Troop F Criminal Unit at 573-526-6329, ext. 3632.
