Good news in the lake area for those concerned about the COVID issue and, in particular the numbers of test kits available…officials from Lake Regional say that more testing supplies and other options for labs to perform the tests are now available. That, however, does not mean to run right out and hope to get tested. Community Liaison Mitch Shields says that the hospital is still following strict guidelines established by the state and the CDC. Those guidelines prioritize the testing of people in immediate need and those who are sick enough to be hospitalized. Beginning Monday, those hoping to get tested need to have an order from their doctor and in-person visits have to be scheduled.
