More area fire protection districts have received grants from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Iberia Rural Fire gets nearly $2600 for communication equipment, nozzles, wildfire helmets, and other equipment.
Tri-County used a $3,000 grant to help in the acquisition of trucks that they’re using for brush fires. They also utilized the Federal Excess Personal Property Program to help in those acquisitions.
Across the state 174 departments received grants of up to $4000, for a total of nearly $390,000. The departments are required to provide a 50% match for the grants they receive.
